For US School District Leaders
Stay updated on international teacher hiring
We help US school districts hire international teachers on J-1 visas. That means real classroom experience from the UK and South Africa, in the subjects you're actually short on: STEM, ESL, Special Education.
We send out information on international hiring throughout the school year, and run free online events where you can hear from other districts doing this and ask us questions directly. Sign up below and we'll add you to the list.
One Of Our Upcoming Events
What is the J-1 visa, and how can schools use it?
Many districts have heard of the J-1 Teacher Exchange Program but aren't sure how it works or whether it's the right fit for their staffing needs. In this session, Jamie will walk through it in plain terms.
What we'll cover:
- What the J-1 Teacher Exchange Program actually is
- Which schools and teachers are eligible
- How recruitment and sponsorship actually work
- Realistic timelines and responsibilities
- Common mistakes districts make
- Where this fits into long-term workforce planning
There's time built in for live questions at the end.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a cost?
No. Signing up is free, and so is every webinar and resource we send.
Am I committing to hiring international teachers?
No. This content is educational, meant to help districts understand their options. There's no obligation to work with English Quest afterward.
Can multiple people from my district sign up?
Yes, and we'd encourage it. HR teams, principals, district leaders, and recruitment staff are all welcome to sign up separately.
Will I receive recordings of past webinars?
Yes. Subscribers get the recording after each session, whether or not you attend live.
